The Office of the Independent Assessor (OIA) invites you to connect and engage with us on LinkedIn. By participating in discussions or sharing our content, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the OIA’s Social Media Terms of Use outlined below.
Terms of use
The OIA reserves the right to remove any content posted to our page that falls into any of the following categories:
- Inappropriate, offensive, or defamatory comments
- Comments deemed prejudicial or disruptive to ongoing investigations or legal proceedings
- Content classified as spam or promotional in nature
- Comments which breach the privacy of OIA staff, local government staff, councillors, complainants, or breach confidentiality requirements
- Links to unauthorised external websites.
Additionally, the OIA reserves the right to remove or block users who repeatedly post content which breaches these terms of use.
In accordance with the Public Records Act 2023, the OIA maintains all content submitted on our LinkedIn page, as well as messages sent to us, as official public records.

The OIA does not accept complaints via social media posts or messages. Submit complaints through our website.
